| @Zagon: Thanks for this excellent cruncher! I found this old unreleased piece we made in 1987 and crunched it to: Together. It ended up more than half the size of Fire, which is basically the same piece of code with different music and graphics. I doubt those old crunchers we used back then would have gotten even close to this result. Then again, I didn't test... |

yes indeed. 3.02 make my testfile 3 bytes larger than 2.09

forget my whining, I confused files or just suck at maths on Saturday afternoons... must be lack of beer in my brain

First of all, I'm a big fan and hardly use anything else than this tool for crunching.
Some feedback, though:
"improved cruncher tuning for slightly improved compression on average"
I'm not convinced yet, might be just accident/bad luck but got larger files cmpared to 3.0.1. Maybe you can give some info in what data you used for creating that average?
