FM-YAM is our SFXSE-based FM sound cartridge under development.
Since it is designed for the combination of SID and FM music channels, I needed a tune to test the balance of both chips.
I took my 20 year old tune CQ (Casu Quo) that I composed using Fasttracker 2, and re-composed it specifically for FM-YAM.
Tools used:
- Commodore 64 (Reloaded Mk1) with 8580 selected in SIDFX.
- Edlib (PC music tracker for Adlib)
- Goattracker (for SID channels)
- FM-YAM prototype cartridge (with YM3812 on board)
- My Edlib 2.01 music player code (see Vibrants FM for a copy).
- Relauch64 as IDE (for the demo)
- KickAss to compile (for the demo)

You can play it using an emulator though, that suppors the SFX Sound Expander cartridge. Be sure to select the YM3812 chip. |
