Great, another Dual Demo! Even with good graphics in the 80column mode!

Seemed we had the idea of a Dual Demo around the same time - but you were about one month before. So maybe your's is the first Dual Demo and mine the first one in Basic 7.0. See: Dual Demo

I haven't heared about any other Dual Demo yet, but there should be some game that used both screens. Unfortunately I didn't find it in the net.

Nice, sound track and nice VIC picture. I guess it should be the same on VDC.

So, the VIC display is nice, but the VDC display is "blocky": I can see if I have a closer look a hires like shown on the VIC display, but the colours in 8x8 blocks are screwed.

C128 DCR and Maverik VDC Memtest says everything is fine and the Oblivion demo works nice, too.

Is there a video of this release? I'm quite interested.

Really excited about new demos for the C128 so I'm gonna give this one a solid 8 just for the sweet effort!
Unfortunately on my hardware (C128D with VDC ugpraded to 64K) this somehow doesn't work: The music plays but the screen is full of blocky chars and what looks like sprite scrollers are just random garbage :-(
If possible, please experiment on a fix, I'd love that. :)

Nah, i'm not going near the fecker again now - i'm still sulking that it didn't bloody work the first time!!

Thanks for testing it - i'll have to get my poor C128D up and running again if i plan to release anything else for the C128. =-)

Ok works fine now, except for the fact that 16k VDC memory is not enough for it :)

Question: Can't you do a small 16k detection and in case of 16k, simply reduce the bitmap height?

Oh buggery! =-(

i screwed up a few relatively small things with the VDC initialisation and the older version of VICE i use because this is a built-from-scrap PC let me get away with them. The black screen seems to be because i was being "clever" whilst trying to hide the messy initialisation of the VDC display, that's taken out now and a few other bits and bobs tweaked so VICE 2.2 says it flies so fingers crossed...

Not sure about why the D64 had issues previously, but this time i've just dumped the file into this image and not added the directory art or changed the file size, so hopefully it was that. If not i shall cry and that applies to the code not working too!

@Motion: this is the fourth small demo i've released in two months matey, just the first one that was relevant to the CSDb... =-)
