Akira: Indeed. But I've got the bomb! ;) | User Comment Submitted by Akira on 16 August 2013
hedning, I love this! Glad to have somehow inspired this conversion too :)) The GEM font and (new) Topaz are quite alike, really! | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 16 August 2013
CRRN: c64 rom font was taken from the 8 bit atari, its almost identical, and atari was like 3 years earlier. edit:googled the case, only lowercase :) | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 16 August 2013
hedning: that most likely puts all atari computers into one category (including XE/XL, VCS etc) ... eg on pouet there are about 50 ST prods for 2011 | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 15 August 2013 User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 August 2013 User Comment Submitted by Tom-Cat on 15 August 2013
Well, since I follow both ST and Amiga scenes I disagree about ST one being bigger than Amiga, Amiga scene is still quite active while there is so little ST stuff coming out I wouldnt even call it microscopic. But C64 scene still blows away all other, by far ! | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 15 August 2013
It's very similar to the Y-expanded C64 ROM charset, but not equal. As it's released outside compo, it's no problem. | User Comment Submitted by chancer on 15 August 2013
it's not so massively different from the font doubled in intros like the very small pulsar and nato ones though ? Pulsar Intro | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 August 2013
Haha, yeah. It's also great that it takes less space than a Guru Meditation. I have seen more of those than teh bombs in my days. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 15 August 2013
good... considering how often i saw it, it must be one of the most important things in this charset =) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 August 2013
Groepaz: It's there.. somewhere. ;)
Sixx: Of course there were pieces of ASCII-art for the Atari, but the Amiga scene was bigger back then. (Nowadays the Atari scene is microscopic, but still bigger than the Amiga scene. ;) C64 is the all time winner, of course.) | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 15 August 2013
this looks kinda weird =) where is TEH BOMB though? =D | User Comment Submitted by Sixx on 15 August 2013
hedning: Were there ever any ASCII art for the Atari ST, like instead of crack intros, packs etc? Google gives no info, seems like AMIGA were superior on all aspects.. (MIDI sux) | User Comment Submitted by Dr.j on 15 August 2013
Atari hehe , what is Atari ?
never heard such computer name ever ;-) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 15 August 2013
My answer to Topaz 64. ;) Of course put outside the compo, as it is a copy of the Atari ST GEM medium resolution font. |
