The overall perspective of the cylinder/spiral of bodies is just insanely impressive. And achieving this kind of a focal point + movement in a c64 pixel piece is exceedingly rare. So glad, you are part of our scene, Veto! | User Comment Submitted by Reekol on 15 July 2014
Veto nice theme and kewl color mixing ;o) | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 25 April 2014
Great motiv and impressive MC art. I don't even know what it lacks to the "usual Veto awesomeness", my suspicion after watching the Workstages.GIF in production notes is that your really clever plan to create depth by color effects in the concentric/circular lines of the web might produce a little harsh contrast when red/blue/purple meet.
Still can't vote this less than 10, but what Yazoo and Shine say, one of your "weaker 10s" ;) | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 25 April 2014
This is not my favorite from you, but i like almost all works from you! 10/10 for theme and effort! ;) | User Comment Submitted by Jok on 24 April 2014
excellent work, should be placed muuch higher imo.
greets man!
it was really a pleasurefor me to talk at revision | User Comment Submitted by ThunderBlade on 22 April 2014
Wow! Excellent work, reflects that status of today's social networking madness, and is incredibly detailed for Multicolor. Next time try NUFLI for such a motive :) Thumbs up Veto!! | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 22 April 2014
great stuff, the theme matches my thoughts on social networking :) but makes me whish it had been done in a bigger resolution, because c64 restrictions force the loss of a lot of details. | User Comment Submitted by Magnar on 22 April 2014
Just look at that hand reaching out and grabbing the shoe of the other person. It's so rich of details! Just stare on it for a while, and get overwhelmed. Of course a few more pixels here and there in the cyan sky-area might improve the dithering, but it is cleaner as is and it presents the motive spot on. 10/10! | User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 21 April 2014
OMG, not only is the picture nice and the technique good and recognizable as Veto, no, also the topic is awesome. | User Comment Submitted by Sith on 21 April 2014
Excellent combo of color usage, very nice image as well. | User Comment Submitted by Motion on 21 April 2014
Hey, Veto! A really interesting piece - very imaginative. Excellent! :) | User Comment Submitted by Zierliches Püppchen on 21 April 2014
So many Details, and outstanding gfx ... its MULTICOLOR!!! great arrangement and sense for color! My C64 Favorite. And the greatest pleasure: i was able to see the picture growing pixel by pixel ... see ya again at Evoke! | User Comment Submitted by FATFrost on 21 April 2014
Amazing pic Veto! Great motif and texture. | User Comment Submitted by v3to on 21 April 2014
thanks for the comments.
actually i was kinda sure, that this picture would be tricky in different ways. the amount and size of the people here would benefit from higher resolutions, this is for sure. strictly speaking: the idea for this was initially meant for a 1080p hd painting, but i simply thought it is a cool challenge if this can be done in low resolution. could have been a whole mess, but even it has flaws here and there the picture works imo.
@cons: yep, it is true. the final version is not exactly what i had in mind, when this had been started. the whole process was vibrant. eg it was planned to show a third layer with shadows of people in the background, but the impression was overcrowded. same with the bg-color it tended to look more 2d-ish the more the light blue areas had been enlarged. tbh i am not totally satisfied with the overall blue sky.
anyway. the result makes me happy. it was fun to play with a complex scene subject, which is not necessarily obvious on first sight.
btw i recommend to watch it on the real thing. | User Comment Submitted by grasstust on 20 April 2014
I really like the idea here, but I feel the pic is a bit unclear. I'm thinking maybe the cyan is too bright for a background.... Still a nice job! | User Comment Submitted by Edhellon on 20 April 2014
More details? WTF? This picture has so many amazing details it's unbelievable. I was very impressed by this one. | User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 20 April 2014
this is not one of my favourite veto pictures. but i can imagine how hard it must be to put all those details there though, especially because it is multicolor. so the result is still quite nice and impressive. i know it took ages to turn almost every single pixel again and again, and so i can say its a great attempt to see what can be squeezed out of multicolor. | User Comment Submitted by Hoild on 20 April 2014
Though technically great, I miss the level of detail I am so used to with Veto's paintings. Perhaps it could be redone in HiRes with moar detailz for 10/10? | User Comment Submitted by CONS on 20 April 2014
Seeing this now, after we talked about it in the process of its making, I can totally relate to the things you said then. Its a complex motiv and having it fit into multicolor does seem like a huge challenge. Knowing the workstages, I see the sacrifice that had to be made, especially around the spider, to fit it into the specifications. The overall impression does work, but I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't turned out the way you would have liked it to. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 20 April 2014 User Comment Submitted by TMA on 20 April 2014 User Comment Submitted by leonofsgr on 20 April 2014
