Weird fact: you can have black or white background, but the animated GIF shows some green and grey backgrounds too :)

austro compiler gave me 3 bad subscripts, hence doesn't run compiled.

The best result with the worst 8 bit basic there is. You can only acknowledge the coder skill when you know how slow and and limited v2 basic is compared to other 8 bit basic dialects. And still, v2 basic belongs to the c64's dna and is somehow something you love and hate at the same time.

I wonder how the speed might be with Austro compiler or Basic Boss.

I think this really does need any extra speed it could get. I find it is way too easy even on the fastest speed setting.

Other than that is technically well done. Problem is just that basic is too slow for a game like this, IMO.

Made in BASIC, and very playable!

Lots of care taken for details and it's actually playable. More customizations added from the simpler 1.0 version. I wonder if it can be compiled for some extra speed.

In Basic? You're into self-torturing I can see =)
