I really like the sprite multiplexer tweak for instances when more than 8 sprites are aligned in the same horizontal line. Even/odd fields interlace hack, simple and nice, I like. ;]

...and two years later I drop by this page to hope for a miracle. Leon, Poison, Soci - what happened? I mean, the engine seems to be there allright. Netsupported multiplayer modes? Or did work on Ultimate Newcomer stop this completely?

Any sign of life?

I cannot believe that neither Soci (coder) nor Poison (gfxer, the one from singular) are high in the charts.
The ruling -Singular Crew- deserves much more attention!
And Grubs rules, too. Yes, it is still in development, but Soci will first of all finish the new Newcomer engine that runs on different drives (see the newcomer release) before going on with Grubs
