What about updating the screenshot then, Fungus? :) It sounds like it's ok with Rough.

Then don't post the damn screenshots at all, it misrepresents how the games look, and some random internet person will think the c64 looks like shit.

See, Scott, I'm using the screenshots for the uploads which I'm already using on my website as I'm quite too busy to do extra shots for CSDb. In 2000 when I started PP (which is currently offline) I used Petto's or however this guy was called pallette. That's the one above.
Now I know they are too gaudy, but I'm not gonna re-do tens of thousands of shots and also won't use another pallette all of a sudden for the new ones. I'm not too satisfied with these colours myself, they sometimes look quite nice (e.g. with many early games and also with the game above), but often are very disturbing especially when it comes to graphics with different colours in a small area, particularly demo screens.

Hope this makes things a bit clearer, if you got some spare time left feel free to upload screenshots you prefer, I won't be bothered.

About what a "C64 looks like"... That's a topic I usually disagree, as it's of course possible to adjust brightness, contrast etc. on a television and a Commodore monitor. What the creators of the machine intended to be the very very original 64 colours doesn't really matter for the individual user.

And, btw, you still got some disks from me, for.... hmmmmmmmm. 13? 14? years which I once ordered via eBay in the US and we settled that I could send it to your place due to smaller postage. :/

You KNOW a c64 doesn't look like that Rough!

I would make you my disciple, but I don't think you have the brains or the skills ;)
