Nice release, but i read this point in the production-notes: "FC3 corrupts the screen after saving, but save works and you can restart the game using RUN/STOP, RESTORE or both". I think, always restarting the game, is not really a good solution here. This could/should be fixed, because FC3 is really widespread and a fix here is not much effort. Some other games, in their older versions (for example "Freaky Fish DX" or "Galaga (from Arlasoft))", had the same problem with the FC3 after score-saving (it's a FC3 problem) and there it later was fixed everywhere in these games. This must be done: switch back to correct VIC-bank, after the FC3 has not put it back after saving. A v1.1 would actually not be a bad idea.

Forget about my last comment, concerning the C128. Turned out that my computer had a broken Restore key, that releases from time to time. Funny enough that I only noticed when playing Impossible Mission.
In between I finished this game on the C64. Great Work! The password it turned out to be seemed newer than the game. ;)

Hi! This is a nice improvement. However this versions keeps constantly restarting the game on my C128 (flat, pal). Can anyone else try on a C128 if he has this issue?

Fantastic work!

My only concern is the save thing; I'd rather the old file was still there until the new one was safely created, so this feels like a regression to me.

One feature that I've always hoped for is some indication of the remaining robot snooze time. Like the robots could shake for a second or something before waking up again.

Lots of concern on using overwrite, I've been told that if the file is under block in size, it should be safe to use. I wouldn't have touched the original code if I hadn't had problems with the free memory :) But in the end I had plenty.

Having read the production notes, the work put into Impossible Mission Revised is commendable.
For as long as i can remember, Impossible Mission impressed me with it's amazing lead character animation,
it's in game speech, the clean looking background graphics, all of which added up to make the game unique.
For whatever reason, the game play never appealed to me. I never played it much.

" File saving simplified
- The original file save was overcomplicated.
- first, it saved "HI2", then deleted "HI" and renamed HI2 to HI
- new one uses overwrite
"

there is a bug if you save with overwrite using the kernal, that might fuck up the directory and replace another file instead.
