Released by Protovision? Did this slip in by accident? ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Nightlord on 18 September 2005
@fuzz: will you also vote lower for pal demos because of their flickering on an ntsc system? maybe you should go to pc sites and vote for all the pc stuff down for not working on an ntsc c64 :) | User Comment Submitted by A Life in Hell on 18 September 2005
@moloch: have you noticed that throwing around accusations gets actual feedback far more effectivly than asking, though? :-p | User Comment Submitted by Moloch on 18 September 2005
Great stuff alih. Always amazes me when people make assumptions or somehow decide that a vote of six is considered bad or downvoting. If this was the case wouldn't my vote be a one? My vote is base upon the entire package of your magazine and not solely on the "review" of Spork64. | User Comment Submitted by A Life in Hell on 14 September 2005
@fuzz: hahaha... ntsc.... hahaha! | User Comment Submitted by Fuzz on 13 September 2005
If you care to know why I voted how I did.. it has nothing to do with the fact that you slagged our game.
I voted what I did because while I found it a very interesting read (written in a totally different style than most mags)it was VERY hard on the eyes with all the flickering. I have no idea what it looks like on PAL machines, but at times on NTSC it's barely readable. If it was easier to read on NTSC you surely would have gotten a higher score from all of us NTSC guys that voted.
Oh, and there's also the fact that the tune didn't loop properly!
I liked the mag overall, it just needed to be bugfixed to get a higher vote. | User Comment Submitted by A Life in Hell on 13 September 2005
@Wanderer: Nothing but negative comments...explain then the venus express review (what, you didn't notice that we liked it?). Or, for that matter, Marble Logic. As for the reviews which consist of negative comments, maybe the games should try not being shite. As for the fucking expletives, think of it as punctuation.
As for biased... well, I'll tell you what. You write an article showing how we're biased, and I guarantee you that we'll print it in the next issue, unedited.
Aside to the retro64 members who are voting: being a retro64 member, I assume that your beef is with us not liking your game - an opinion which you are welcome to hold if you wish, but it doesn't make the game any less terrible, just the authors thereof having an inflated sense of self importance to go with their boring personalities. | User Comment Submitted by G-Fellow on 13 September 2005
I like the new outfit and another great issue of GO(v)! I think this issue is more

Haha... that´s sound familar to me!
We got the same problem with death or glory by using the musics.

So I threw in richard's tune, which he sent me for the mag. But then I find out about four minutes after release that it doens't loop correctly. So I pore through my code, only to find that his original doesn't loop correctly. AAARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Anger.
So after looping, it would play a few notes wrong. Anyhow, eventually rich emailed me the _correct_ version of the song, and the mag was updated. bleh. But I guess no-one other than me really cares.
I should mention, btw, the new outfit implements the single most requested feature we get - and I was surprised when people started asking for this - which is keyboard control. Cursors and Enter, of course. (of course, the joystick still works, and is what I like. but hey!) |
