Cool cool, why I didn't notice the syntax highlighting for Npp before will remain a mystery :D. As the result, a few years ago I created highlighting xml for Obsidian theme that I truly love, next to few other tips for Npp users: https://bitbucket.org/Commocore/notepad-64tass-dev-support/

I am using the dark mustard mode (cant remember the exact name) as the dirty grey of dark mode wasn't quite to my liking.

Thanks! Haven't noticed they've added dark mode. Better but still black on dark grey. I've tweaked it further so that now it looks equally bad in both modes :)
