@Xiny: nahh, filters are cool I think. Unless I have gone blind from squinting earlier on, the rules only state that the tune should sound good on both SID models. However, this does mean you have to compromise a bit on how you set the filters, because if you run this 8580 version on a 6581(ReSID) emulation in VICE for example, you will hardly hear the filter evolve.

And yuss you are so right! Bring on yonder kettle and let percolate sweet filtered black smoothness into our receptacles such that we may embrace the morn and seize the day with ever-crescendoing alertness even though we only slept for a couple of hours :).

I am all open for filters and 6581 or 8580 :) I just thought for this compo one of the rules was to use no filters in the song for the compo.
Else gosh, please bring the awesome filters on like that crazy bursting kettle steaming madness at 5:30am in the morning.
You know it, I know it we both know it;)
Cheers

@Xiny: that '6581' in your handle makes me suspect that you may be partial to the old SID... maybe a bit TOO partial considering you want no filters? Hhhhmmmmm.... *squints eyes to Clint Eastwoodian sizings* The 6581 already has the best samples, at least let us poor 8580 saps have some filters...

Kidding kidding... :)

... or am I? ...

(I am.)

No filters is how it should be :)
However, the tune is cool and mysteriously.

This is the 8580 (new SID) .sid version of the Red Sector Inc Circa 1994 compotune. Now the filter is as it should be (i.e. just the way I like it ;)... enjoy!
