Kevin and Brian were the crackers. Most likely active in 83-84, maybe 85 before they claimed to have switched entirely to protecting.

These guys are one of the few/only anti-piracy groups. They did anti-piracy demos and wrote copy protection schemes while also writing copiers and, rumor has it, doing cracks under a different name.
