The whole image seem to lack the attention to the restrictions,
there are some colorbugs not only in the background but also to the foreground.

Are you painting them as miniatures or thumbs :D
regardless which method, as we have seen in some of Grass more "greasy" works, I think it could be used and developed somehow.

the alien is very nice, great use of colors there. i also like the somewhat unusual choice of colors for the gradient in the background.
