Joe, thanks for clarifying that. I came across it a couple of times and also didn't find the origin. I could not think of a good title, and this seemed a funny one.

Haha nice.

Haven't looked at the internals yet, but I've noticed that the X position is a triangle wave rather than a sinusoid, so conceptually there are two bitplanes scrolling in opposite directions with only tiny updates required at the edges.

Of course, doing two layers exactly like that is impossible in high res, so there's still a fair amount of work going on there for at least one of the layers...
