The story behind this is that back in the day I was complaining about GMC v1.0 which I was using as my only tool for creating SIDs. I came to a point where things like restrictions on number of instruments were something that was becoming a pain in the ass a bit.
Being a guy of a huge heart, Fenek disassembled the player and recreated the editor and the player removing those restrictions, and optimizing the player's code. So this should be treated like an unofficial version of the GMC, but greatly improved and with a more streamlined, DMC-resembling editor. It took him a week to do that, knowing Fenek's work ethics probably 24/7. Fantastic gesture from a great coder and a good friend.
The sad thing is that around that time I was slowing down my creative output when it comes to the C64, so it finally did not result in massive outflow in new music... which was understandably a disappointment (hence the AKA. "weekofsenselesswork" ;)
EDIT. GMC is a music editor by Graffity, a grandfather to DMC. If you don't know what DMC is, then I cannot help you ;)

few days ago I started to disassemble DMV v7.1 beta to potentially increase number of useable instruments in mind. now I hink going on with that DMC is just waste of time ;-) however I have reasseamble & runnable code (not split and labelled fully though) . thumbs up :)

"After creating several cool demos he wants to find out about his gamecoding-skills."
It's a game then? ;)

I think it is supposed to be a music editor. :) Game Music Creator V2? maybe.
