Wow nice.. I always wanted to make a RasterBlaster II ..
But after Tridents comeback! there is no point in doing it anymore ;) | User Comment Submitted by Strepto on 29 September 2023
That's one hell of a cool demo! Congrats! | User Comment Submitted by Stone on 4 September 2023 User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 4 September 2023
Very nice show. Lots of stuff that would give a lot of people headache still. | User Comment Submitted by Shine on 4 September 2023 User Comment Submitted by Radiant on 4 September 2023
I don't watch a lot of demos these days, but I watched this one and don't regret how I spent those minutes! Good nostalgic design with just the right amount of concept and direction to hold it all together, and a surprising amount of effects. Figge's soundtrack felt maybe a bit like him on autopilot, and there were a few visible bugs that were a bit distracting, but overall I find this kind of "indie demo" a lot more enjoyable than I do the four diskside AAA productions. Thank you! | User Comment Submitted by Copyfault on 31 August 2023
An extremly nice demo. Personally, I don't think that it's "out of time" due to its main focus on rasters - to the opposite, it shows how to give the maybe oldest effect of'em all a modern glance!
What stands out for me is the grey rasters over the reddish ones, that slip through the gaps. Gave me a similar feeling like the double tunnel in one of Oswalds demos.
And yes, Trident seems to be on a very good "coding drug" ;) Thanks for the demo! | User Comment Submitted by Monte Carlos on 31 August 2023
Most efficient greetings part ever seen ;)
... but the rest is also cool. haha. kidding. it's great! | User Comment Submitted by Dan on 31 August 2023
I didn't know I like rasterbars so much. These come full screen superpaced and well aligned with a tune that fits really well. A demo where you wouldn't notice space was broken. | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 29 August 2023
Having watched The Space is Broken more times..
Thumbs-up to the Logo Megasplit pt.
Thumbs-up to the Audio ^_^
Thumbs-up to the upwardly moving twisting greets. | User Comment Submitted by ChristopherJam on 29 August 2023
Oh that was wonderful, thank you.
Great concept, and I love the raster split twister and the logo megasplit. | User Comment Submitted by MCM on 29 August 2023
Really great demo, rasters are always welcome and even more in such a beautifull way of presentation. i love the twister up scollers a lot and all the hard to time stuff. the border work, the splits and such. old school rulez !
trident is really on fire, i feel you , keep it burning and releasing. | User Comment Submitted by VoDKa on 29 August 2023

Raistlin: Codep0rn + Design and Story... Yum! | User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 28 August 2023
Wacek, my only true love. I wasnt the biggest fan most of the raster effects either, the ones I listed arent made of rasters. Also the bar is set much lower for such a 'filler' demo for me, not AAA still some nice and innovative effects, really nicely put together. But not in the same league as E2IRA ;)
love xoxoxo | User Comment Submitted by Jetboy on 28 August 2023 User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 28 August 2023
Great work, Fairlight, really nice.
Everything we do on C64 is retro/nostalgia.. so the arguments about it being from the wrong decade are moot. The effects here are pure coding delight - which is the best sort of demo for me, whether it’s the 21st or 20th century. I realise my taste isn’t a popular one of late - but I’d personally rather see these than the anim/story demos we’ve seen of late ;-)
Codep0rn > Design and Story | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 28 August 2023
Very entertaining and colourful! \o/
Maybe fallen out of time but retro is in fashion... and rasterbars are never out of fashion. ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 28 August 2023
Wacek might be right - this might be from the wrong decade, but we are all from the wrong decade so it might just as well be perfectly in line with what we want to have. I think it's a super nice effort! | User Comment Submitted by Barfly on 28 August 2023
Lots of goodness in this one. Thumbs up! 馃憤馃徎馃憤馃徎 I also really 鉂わ笍 the circling greetings upscroller. | User Comment Submitted by 4gentE on 28 August 2023
<3 You liars! The space works just fine. | User Comment Submitted by Matt on 28 August 2023
Progressive, regressive, I mean, this was a great show anyway, well done! | User Comment Submitted by wacek on 28 August 2023
Sorry to be honest, I hope nobody will get offended as this has nothing to do with appreciating the effort put into doing any demo, but this is totally not my taste.
Quoting HCL: "...all in the right place", except the demo is in the wrong decade. And reading comments about "truly innovative ideas" for the demo based on splits and rasters... made me smile how some of us have different definitions of innovation. For me, doing dycp/dypps or whatever in 2023 is regressive, not progressive, and I don't have a problem to say that openly only because this is a demo by Fairlight or anyone else for that matter. | User Comment Submitted by HCL on 28 August 2023
Great demo again!! Trident is unstoppable :D It has the rasters, it has the colours, it has the splits, all in the right place. | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 27 August 2023 User Comment Submitted by Jucke on 27 August 2023
Rasterbars/splits are off the hook in this demo! Loved them. | User Comment Submitted by ws on 27 August 2023
Very nice demo. Lovely wobbly Tut and the most rasterbars. Made me smile :-) | User Comment Submitted by QuasaR on 27 August 2023
I like the greetings scroller the most! | User Comment Submitted by katon on 27 August 2023 User Comment Submitted by Oswald on 27 August 2023
well done fairlight, some truly innovative ideas here, rotating rastersplits, twister made out of scrollers, tutankhamon distorter, how do you put out so many demos? congrats! | User Comment Submitted by Mythus on 27 August 2023
The "can't press space" had me loling several times and damn what a nice show! those rasters, hell yeah!! And Fegolhuzz, nice msx!! :) | User Comment Submitted by Isildur on 27 August 2023
What an oldschool ride! 10/10 | User Comment Submitted by iAN CooG on 27 August 2023
My raster beam is overheated after watching this, I have to turn the monitor off for a while.
What a great show. 10/10
