@hedning: he just uploaded the tunes as the author asked to, he also contacted me for including them, and what's released is released, it's not the uploader fault if they're not state of the art. Look around CSDb and you'll see _way_ worse shit than this, like whole onefile demos not exomized occupying whole memory while they should just take 10k or so. =)

151 blocks on disk. :O OK. I exomized it, and then it became 97 blocks. Maybe something to think of before releasing these gigantic Deflemask things, bugjam? (I guess you made the PSID and uploaded to help the musician?).

@Deflemask is Deflemask... Don't get me wrong, I _did_ praise the sound and the rastertime. And in mere Chiptunes scene hardly anyone might complain about RAM eaten.

But C(OMMODORE)SDb ain't no country for hipsters, and composers must endure being advised NOT to use deflemask if they want their stuff being appreciated by C= scene, especially if they want people to listen to their tunes on real machines or even use them in releases such as music collections or even intro/demo stuff. If they still stick to using their toys, anyone's got the choice of weapons of course and can stick to (from a C=64 perspective in 2023) ineffective tools like DM or go back to Sound Monitor or whatever

I could imagine a bit more filter activity, but otherwise it's a pretty cool cover with a lot of details taken over from the original song.

And Deflemask is, well, it's Deflemask. It's the best chiptune tracker, you know :)

Yeah, pity!
Otherwise quite a nice cover, neat sounds

TheRyk: It's made in DefleMask and accordingly takes ludicrous amounts of memory.

PS: rastertime waste is quite alright, however, so my guess was wrong! :)

sounds not bad at all but does this 1x speed 3 min remake really need >half RAM?

Whatever ancient RAM-wasting tracker you use (I've got some ideas but did not really check it out), there are better ones out there C=64 native and Cross-Dev ones, so with the words of Jacko: Make that change ;)
