Actually the intro is present in this version too, but someone has hacked the file to bypass it. I wonder why. To see it you need to change these bytes:
0849: 0C 8D 20 D0 8D 21

and run it.
For the title to be correct you also have to change this:
080A: 46 52 41

Other differences between the two versions are different text on the title screen and different hiscore tables.
