Bacchus: Nothing bugs here, from what I can tell. In your 1st version you only have one sid channel active, and in your second "fixed" version music plays too fast compared to the original. I don't know what you would consider a bug here.

As with the first Excess version, the game uses a certain zeropage address to set the interval between NMIs and if that isn't in the right range, then it takes really long for the opponents to show and the "music" plays really slow.

The game doesn't set the value, so the cracker must do it to be sure it works. Here the cracker doesn't set it, and the time I tested it, the music was as slow as the Excess version.

So I'd call this crack borked.
