The first design was recorded via VHS and Amiga 500 and a synchronized cd-player, playing the intro of Niels Viggo Bentzon's “Symphony no.5” to an earlier version of Ed’s octopus moving on the screen.

The reversed Gaussian Blur was a derivate of the "A quoi ca sert?" demo, which I wanted to reuse, but with changed order.

This was a method we used often at the time. Using Deluxe paints animation possibilities to get a hint of how or what direction we should move with several productions, as a storyboard and then reediting the main thing on the real hardware.

Clone had already reworked some of his first works on the c64 with some help from me, and we made is simply as a graphical showroutine: Some effects whilst the pictures was redrawn on the screen.
