In the United States, we have a name for this type of release too... But if I wrote it out, I'd have to put a quarter in the cuss jar. ;)

In Sweden we call this kind of release 'julpyssel', (X-mas crafts) while drinking 'glögg' (mulled wine) and eating 'knäck' (crack (!)). It's all from Compute!'s Gazette 1988/11. Docs at page 55, listing on page 91-96.

According to Gamebase, this is a freeware magazine type-in game.

Did you type it in yourselves?

Medicus: Serious? Most of it is machine code. And believe what: I actually enjoyed the game. :D Merry X-mas.

Quo... How do you even pronounce it? =) Nice little intro. Great that you can stop the game with R/S if you need a break! ;-)
