I was hoping when I pressed RUN/STOP in the game's main menu that upon typing RUN it would make the game work again.

If you accidentally press RUN/STOP, hit RESTORE at the same time! Then you can restart the game with RUN & make your way past the small basic-part which is the title & menu, and play the game which is ML.
