they get removed (and the file uploaded to csdb) because a) external downloads are unnecessary once the file is uploaded and b) these "broken" links make checking *actually* broken links pretty hard - i am right now going through 300 of these "broken" things and its really super annoying. next time please ask a moderator to upload the file for you.

I had a talk with Perff about that: No the links are not automatically removed. And dropbox doesn't allow his way of checking links.

Isn't this is automatic check CSDb does? I had a couple of download links that were set as "broken"... despite they weren't at all, 2 weeks later, they get removed. Unfair isn't it?

Link's fine and image displays okay, why did someone (I presume the entry maintainer Nafcom) mark it broken?
