Seems like 2012 is for me the year of saying overdue goodbyes. This one has been wondering in my head since the day my Grandfather passed away in the beginning of 2011, but it took some time before I could mentally sit down and do it.

The story behind is that, among other wonderful experiences we shared, He was the one that tought me how to play chess, and also always was an undefeated champion of my family in that game :)

When He passed away he was 89, after a long and rich life, and one of my greatest joys is that Him and my 5 years old son, Maksym, had a chance to meet and get to know each other.
