Well. I'm not saying anything with my posts of the original photos/artwork.
I think people maybe want to see the originals - be if for comparing (If Dane wanted to impress, then showing the original will make his conversion more impressive, isn't that true?), or just to discuss tecniques.
Maybe there are one or two who think it is a hand pixelled picture (it WAS put into a compo and won #5 @ Floppy 2004).
But then again: I will keep on posting the originals because it is interesting; if I am offending someone: sorry. Did not mean to. | Trivia Info Submitted by Wile Coyote on 16 May 2011
@Hedning
I think most guessed this and other similar images by Dane were converted. I think the main purpose of these releases were not to show Danes pixeling skills, but to show a new level of image of what was possible given the limitations of the C64. This was Dane showing off a new type of hires allowing more colours per 8x8 than had previously been seen before, long before NUFLI arrived.
Then again I could be wrong. Maybe Dane pixel pushed these images based on photo reference material. Either way, I think most knew 100% these types of images were based on photo reference material. | Trivia Info Submitted by hedning on 16 May 2011
