Hi Count Zero. I understand your query and I appreciate your comment. But as I made "a" change on the tool to "improve" it (even when I did that mainly for my own usage), why I do not have the chance to make this change visible by modifying the text? There are several examples on tools, games or something where someone just changed visually the text or color but but definitely NO change on the software!
And imho this is one of the best, quickest and reliable copy program for full backups I know. So WHY not name it like what it really is? | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 9 September 2013
A 1-byte change justifies changing the text? A change which does not really result in "Maximum performance" either. | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 8 September 2013 User Comment Submitted by St0rmfr0nt on 8 September 2013
You require a parallel cable (as used with Speeddos II for example) and a Commodore 1764 REU (Ram Expansion Unit).
Within this Version you don't need to change every time the maximum retry counter from 5 to F (max). Background is that if there will be an error on the destination disk when writing to it, the tool will try itself several times to write again and again over the tracks / sectors until the error dissapears, or the maximum retries reached / the errors can not be solved.
* The source diskette will be read in one go into the REU, and then as much as you like saved in one go onto destination diskettes in highest speed in best possible quality (verified saving).
*Best choice for real swappers (when hardware is available)
(btw: Speeddos II hardware is quite easy to be cloned loads of tools supporting Speeddos II, 14 times faster than original Commodore 64 Diskdrives, high compatiblity)
