Conway's Game of Life is way too unoptimal for CPUs. It's high time you do a pure shader version, a CUDA version, and an OpenCL version as well.

Game of Life. I made numerous console based ports in C language for DOS and Linux and a C#/.NET for Windows. It is always fun.
Recently I realized that I have never done a C-64 port. Being a Commodore aficionado, I found this a great oversight, so I got to work.
