Also the 2nd kanji you got there is simplified Chinese I think and not Japanese. Should be 准将 if you want the military rank.

Simple and clean little logo, but I am afraid the writing is totally wrong. Commodore in this case should be a name and not a military rank. The の should be a は since の means.

A good translation would be コモドールはすごい。

すごい is not directly awesome as such, more like great, terrific, high in skill and so on. But it is in this case better fitting imo.

Retrogade:
This is a really nice firsty! I had the same idea some month ago, but i was afraid to use google-translate, because i don't wanted to use some "wrong" chars. ;)
Waiting for your next release(s) ...! :)

Haha, didn't expect people to research the kanji lol, I do study Japanese but am still grappling with Hiragana and katakana before I dive into Kanji. And the second word is one of the ways you can say commodore. Closest I could find :)

apart 2nd kanji that seems drawn differently on the left part, reads "jun masaru no doerai" "Awesome(ness) of Associate Commander"... more or less ^_^;
