Cracking a game with Gollum was great. We spent three nights on this one, and eventually did something none of us had done before - released it even if we both knew one could do a lot more on it. I recall a few of the levels being almost identical, so it had been possible to optimize away one of them and adapt the other to recreate the deleted one. We also had SERIOUS level crunching problems as the levels going all the way up to $ffff caused problems for the level decruncher, so we eventually had to patch in a few bytes in the very end of the levels that simply didn't come out right after decrunching. Ugly, but served it's purpose.
