The key thing that takes time is directory seeking the directory. Loading a one block file from sector 16 on track 18, this means reading and seeking 15 sectors before loading that small file. This game would benefit from an IFFL but you need one that supports this amount of files.

Just a question - i only observed this in Vice as of now - after i press 1 for the Adventure, the loader often pauses between track seeks. ICU shows me that there is really nothing going on, just waiting. I think the loader can be speeded up, probably. Any similar observations?

This version is 100% working (AFAIK). The previous one had a gfx bug in the D64 we based the work on. Correct data extracted from the Phun Soft one .

Onlyu bug found now is that "whale" in the intro scroller is spelled wrong :-P
