Ok, the updated version restores memory correctly now, thanks :)

Worth noting that there's a four pixel high region under the scroller that contains garbage if someone places actual data in the 2800-cfff area, or has had something else loaded before loading your entry. Within the rules as writ, just not very pretty.

(full disclosure, there's also an 8x1 pixel bit of mess on my own entry to Didi's competition from a year ago; I didn't test for relying on uninitialised RAM either…)

it's my 2nd intro on c64 and a tough one with all that memory and VIC bank issues and no stable raster interrupts when coming from Atari 800 with its "copper" and WSYNC :D

some already spotted. Yes. My charset for scroller is located at 8800-89ff.... but I am restoring it when exit:
