Sorry.. to put this to bed. Somebody PM'ed me on Facebook, being pretty damned rude TBH (no, it wasn't The Sarge, he's a proper gent), saying that the pic here (in my earlier comment) wasn't evidence.

So here's something clearer:-



And again, please, my intent here isn't to shame The Sarge. He's done some absolutely stunning work over the years - hand-pixeled from scratch, clearly - and is one of the absolute best artists on C64 in my opinion.

But. Proper attributions should be made here just as much as they are on others'. And that this stopped someone else's image getting top spots in the Gubbdata 2018 gfx compo is a shame - one that can't now be fixed.

While we’re looking at wires/copies. Take the below image, rotate and scale it. It fits 100% on top of the C64 image. All wrinkles, eye lines, everything perfectly line up.

I guess its super hard to pixel dragon skin in various colors and shades, Sarge has huge pixeling balls, and it shows :)
