Yes, you're right. But it's more easy loading a few blocks file instead burning an eprom.
Another real life example: I want detect a plugged in wifi-modem. So i plugged it in, took some snapshots with smartphone and compared the photos with the memoryscans after removing the wifi-modem.
$dd01 (or was it $dd02?) got changed!
*** BAM! *** =)
Will upgrade the scanner maybe that no photos are needed to compare and make it more easy to handle then. | User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 19 October 2018
for this kind of stuff speeddos kernal is great (the monitor works the same) | User Comment Submitted by Holy Moses on 19 October 2018
I had to check which register(s) got influenced by the 4-player-adaptor, just to check out how it works.
Correct, it simply views the selected memory ***repeatly*** to make the changed bytes visible. I was in the need for it several times and with this you can switch the blocks fast and easily to detect changed bytes more comfortable.
It's no big deal, but I don't feel to make it for every usage new from scratch. | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 19 October 2018
Check Production Notes. It does the "m memorypage" repeatedly. Why someone thinks this is worth an actual release is beyond me :) | User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 19 October 2018
What does it do? Print a page of memory to the screen? Like entering the monitor and doing "m <address>"? |
