@TheRyk: every SID Known release comes with an updated hash database for the latest HVSC release. However this is only for the hash search and not for the binary search. You have to update the binary search database each time you have updated HVSC. You can use the -i option for this. Use the -l option to locate HVSC. | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 30 December 2018
Question: Even after having updated HVSC and SIDKnown I get "HVSC version 67 loaded" in dialogue. Not a real problem but only wrong label due to sth missing, maybe performing -i, right? As i get a different total time for same batch, I'm pretty sure that other than that message, the updates worked | User Comment Submitted by Xiny6581 on 22 December 2018

JCH: That's exactly why this tool gets updated few days before the HVSC update is released, to get the prepared db for it =) | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 22 December 2018
JCH: I don't see how, unless you are willing to compare the .txt (which contains full library) with the old one, maybe, or browse by artist for tunes of last half year. I think, it's okay to wait one more night for HVSC :)
btt: thanks for update, fred | User Comment Submitted by JCH on 22 December 2018
Interesting, the database.txt file contains new entries from the upcoming HVSC #70, so it gives us a chance to peek at whether this and that SID file is going to be in it. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 22 December 2018
