El Stocko: Maybe easier, but not correct when it comes to release dates and so on. This is a database, and we like to be able to see what happened when, and so on. :) | User Comment Submitted by El Stocko on 1 April 2023
Alright, thanks. Just seemed easier if everything was in one place | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 31 March 2023 User Comment Submitted by hedning on 31 March 2023
El Stocko: Thank you, but that is not how it works. Every release has its own entry. Do not mix them. | User Comment Submitted by El Stocko on 31 March 2023 User Comment Submitted by El Stocko on 31 March 2023
I have added an IEC friendly version of this release! I noticed when trying to load this Bogg release (or Bogg Album 2, or Socken Ching..) in VICE, it didn't like it unless using "True drive emulation", which is slowwww. So, my version is happy with a virtual drive and everything loads super fast. I haven't tried this on a real C64 with SD2IEC, so if anyone gives it a go, let me know if it works. | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 23 May 2019
I’d almost forgotten about The Mighty Bogg ... but, yeah, his music was my first introduction to the scene... I heard the music playing in my local computer shop and was blown away. It wasn’t for another year or so that I actually found the scene for myself though.
Excellent stuff. | User Comment Submitted by chancer on 23 May 2019
at the time, it was amazing.. so why no votes? are you all mad for cross dev. that uses a c64 as a "player" and *very* cycle specific.. people sometimes need to know where they have come from, to see where they are at ;-) .. a time where cross dev wasn't the norm.. | User Comment Submitted by STE'86 on 5 August 2010
one of my first memories of the demo scene.a true landmark piece of software for me. i still carry the memory of the word "Kayleigh" being spoken in his northern accent to this day :) | User Comment Submitted by Thunder.Bird on 8 October 2008
~Big respect~ for this first piece of art! I ever loved the spoken samples of the musictitles.
The SIDs themselves are acurate and when I'm listening to this, I don't need to listen to the originals :]
Anyway the loading sounds I laughed at, but thats no negative point at all ;) This made my day \o/ YAY
I hope Kjell is listening to Roller Coaster in heaven now. | User Comment Submitted by chancer on 28 September 2007

Classic. I enjoyed reading an interview with him that's online somewhere, done in about 2001 I think, especially the bit where he said that once he got an Amiga, he destroyed his 64 by pouring water into it :D
I hacked Bogg Album 1 back in 86 to create a tape version for poor mates who didn't have disk drives. You just had to have a list of the tape counter positions where each track started. I've still got this version. |
