I was so overwhelmed and surprised by this release that I apparently missed to make an official comment on it.
As mentioned in the scroller it’s an hommage to a picture of mine found at the end. What’s not mentioned is that I had no idea this was coming, and this lovely surprise demo still makes me dizzy! So heartwarming!
I love you guys <3

Nice, even from a lamers view like me. One of the best - That-s what C64 should aim to be. The Sequel to UNICORN.. ;) THX

I'm really happy to have been involved in developing this. Shadow's scarf-vector is fantastic, he's a true coding wizard. Mermaid's graphics are always outstanding, her choice of music is too. :) It's really heart warming to see my 20+ years old SIDs finally getting used. <3

Very nice (and cute) graphics here. Clever use of sprite overlays adding detail and overcoming some of the limitations of 'hires' graphics.
I like!

So many cool things in this demo. The scarf is genius .. the pictures and flow through the demo is great. And yes, Oswald, the story is there, it’s maybe just not to your taste (maybe stick with your popcorn story-less demos like Star Wars Demo :-p).

I love the tunes throughout too - particularly the end part. Can listen to that for ages.

Congrats to all involved :-)

Mermaid: This turned out wonderful. Moody, and with a great storyline that anyone could follow and enjoy, old as young.

I got shiverings when looking at the screenshots, such a smooth artwork.

but as a demo it offers not much, press space and you get next screen, not even much coherent (apart from winter), a story told would have been nice.

This is really beautiful! The parallax scroller, the wonderful hires pictures, very enjoyable. Just one little weakness IMHO: Does the music have to immediately stop when hitting space?

Cute and exactly as nostalgic as intended, making me reminisce about my childhood days. The wonder and excitement of winters first snowfall. I love that sprite scarf. Hmm, come to think of it, back then I just wanted to stay indoors tucked up in bed, hiding underneath my warm blankets. Birch logs cosily crackling in the comforting heat of the fireplace. How about you letting me make some code for one of these wonderful gems soon now?

It's interesting. "Mermaid" has such an unique style of drawing, that in the meantime, i know from the first look on a picture, that it is from here or that she is somehow involved in it.

Thanks guys!

Rudi, the decrunch pics are regular old hires bitmap with an 8 sprite overlay/underlay to add some more colours.

This is beautiful! Again such care taken to all scenes. This is really a demo, which easily could be shown to almost all kinds of audience outside the nerdy c64 kit and be appreciated. I'm happy these kind of "graphical demos" finally came back!
