At the beginning of the comment, I would like to write a few words.
The WFMH group are my heroes from my teenage years. It was one of the best Amiga groups in the world. They made great demos (I love for example 'Faster Then Hell'), they had great coders: Robin & Thorgal. SilverDream, on the other hand, is also a legendary character for me (a member of WFMH from Szczecin, the center of the Amiga scene at the time). SilverDream was involved in the production of the Kebab paper magazine, which was closely related to the scene. In the magazine (monthly) you could read many good articles related to coding, hardware and software tests, events.
Glad the spirit of the C64 never left SilverDream!

@SD: Is MHL someone else besides you?

Now about the project. The Beam Racer is a huge and professional project that could revolutionize the graphics capabilities of the C64. I hope that the project will be appreciated and will find interest among hobbyists.

My question is, does the standard parallel operation with the VIC-II is possible after installing and running the Beam Racer?

Still no answer about the file extension. .c64 can't be regarded as standard, can it?

I see someone credited me with the code. In fact there is some of my code inside but the lion's share was done by my friend once known as Thorgal/W.F.M.H. He currently prefers to be called as the credits on the screenshot say
