in case of doubt you can also just use tools like PSID64 by Roland Hermans (other platform tool) or PlayIt by me (C64 tool making .SID an executable). and if you have no SID-header yet, there is SidEdit.

Hint: if you really have to use basic to play a tune, at least change line 30 with
30 wait53266,128
so the play call it's actually timed on the same raster line every time.
Better switch to asm tho.
