I forgot I already looked at the code of 'no more grey dots'.
Very elegant that and totally different from what I did.
Mine is more of a robotic Oompah Oompah:
decode-sprite-data
write write write
quickly-change-all-previous-code
decode-sprite-data
write write write
etc. | User Comment Submitted by goerp on 25 November 2020
I can't take the credit for the animation, because those are the sprites ripped from the game Killer Watt.
'optimizing to get rid of the grey dots'. Hehe, I thought I did optimize. This thing is older than the demo 'no more grey dots'. I should look at how they did that.
Although I realised later there are more demos using just the border color, that was never in my mind when I came up with it (the base idea is from years ago). | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 25 November 2020
Wonderfully weird and pretty. | User Comment Submitted by Joe on 25 November 2020 User Comment Submitted by chatGPZ on 24 November 2020
What ryk said! Optimizing it to get rid of the grey dots would be nice! | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 24 November 2020
did not peek into code a lot (even pushing Alt+M is considered re(!)cracking the demo nowadays)
but reminded me of Sonder Bar 4k | User Comment Submitted by Frantic on 24 November 2020 User Comment Submitted by Smasher on 24 November 2020 User Comment Submitted by MacGyver on 24 November 2020
