Thanks, I didn't count the exact number of characters used but there is a huge speedcode based on a 8bpp bitmap image, which compares each pixel value with a threshold parameter and turns that pixel on or off. A treshold map is overlayed and moved accross the screen with a simple sin/cos table which feeds the speedcode.

Lovely animation, intriguing implementation. 64 frames, 224 unique chars updated with 33k of speedcode if I'm not mistaken?

Instant 10/10. One of the best bitmap resolution image processing effects i've ever seen on c64.
