We're not talking about politics and politicians sucks, just the opposite, it's the people who turn thieves and Nazis into politicians with their votes. It's precisely in the opposite direction from what you have understood :-)
And by the way @Jammer asks if it's an obsession, look when something inevitably regulates your life, more than an obsession it's a matter of need to pay attention to it (especially if you live in Argentina it's a matter of intelligence).
