Just for the record, originally this song was created for this project on the piano but as it happened, the C64 version overtook the release of the DIM album that came out recently (as of November, 2023):

Yep stealing from self sucks, lyrics use a UFO language, yaddy-yadda. You don't care and won't click on the link anyway :D

Reaper is awesome indeed. Somewhere in the future I'm going to do some sort of tutorial about bridging guitars and keyboards (I'm a simple minded guy and it is easy even for me), also about this MIDI conversion method. Maybe some guitar-to-MIDI included.

As a footnote, I have heard first here about that you're a guitarist too but I am not surprised. The melodies, the thinking... Listening your music I was sure that you are :)

Was very interesting to read about the workflow :-) REAPER is really awesome. First DAW on Linux that felt like my "good old" Windows / Cubase days.

As a guitar player all that MIDI -> SID-Wizard stuff doesn't really help me though. Hermit even was so nice an send me an HerMIDI once, but I think I only used it for a couple of patterns on 2-3 tunes.

Anyway: nice little tune!
