Dunno, works perfectly in x64/x64sc from Vice 3.2, vice gtk 3.8 r45253, hoxs 1.1.2.3
unpacked with unp64, it's compressed with FinalCart3 packer, it's normally runnable also unpacked, the unpacked prg has a sys2064 and just starts with no problem.
I also tried inverting the RAM init pattern in vice, no difference, it just works.
Try resetting your vice settings to defaults.

I’ll take another look tonight. It’s probably an uninitialised-memory problem then.

It doesn’t work for me on C64Scene either (old VICE).

I did a quick debug run before and there’s a JSR to $0810 - at a time when $0810 has just blank data. There’s some code up at $ef30 during that time too.

I’ll come back to this later if Ian Coog doesn’t figure it out first :-)
