Nice picture.

As for the dithering and transformations, it is virtually the same as applying checkerboard dithering to original picture.

For skewing /deskewing there is also some software that can handle it. But seriously i do not get what would be benefit of doing it this way. That might be my dementia not allowing me to grasp it.

The dither method is inspired by some recently released pictures that are using a very special and nice looking dithering (you can see one example below).
At first glance, they seem to use checkerboard patterns. But at a closer look, it might be more like a diagonally applied line dithering.
When skewed by each Multicolor pixel manually, it really looks like a kind of line dithering.

There is no publicly available software to do such kind of dithering yet. Therefore, the skewing and de-skewing was done in Photoshop.
The line dithering was done in Retropaint.
De-skewing the 160 columns manually takes several minutes, so hopefully such kind of dithering will be implemented in a future software. :)

Not to lose too many pixels by color clashes after the de-skewing, I decided to use greyscale starting material.
As you can see the resulting pattern of the dithering more clearly there, the 4 greyscale variant was chosen.
For completeness, also the 5 greyscale output can been seen below. There is just zero pixel cleaning invloved for this one.
