@Flotsam: yes indeed. Of course, it takes good skills to make solid artwork. I would suggest having a look at the project files under the "sample-projects" folder within the distribution packages for more examples of what's possible to do with ALBERT.

So, if I download and use this software, the pics I do will be as impressive as the one in the screenshot?

Will there be a port to Android, perhaps?

Yes, this editor is great! The time will come when I will create graphics in it ;-) using side frames.

Looks really nice this! Great to have a simple, but appealing layout like the hires mode. No fuzz, just draw!

@Shine: You are right. This has now been corrected. Thank you!

@apprentix: Linux support is not (yet) high in the priority list but as a mitigation Linux users can try the Docker image https://hub.docker.com/r/luigidifraia/albert

Thanks for pointing this out @Shine! The screenshot was probably from an older version when developing this tool. New correct screenshot uploaded.

Hmm...
In the screenshot is
"Mode: Multicolor + multicolor sprites"
but the picture is "HiRes + Sprites" ( SWAG! )

This new version has added:

- High-res mode for seamless pixel integration into the side borders.
- An import feature for your images, whether they are high-res or multicolor. The imported images will be extended into the borders. This import feature includes an extensive dialog with options such as curves, palettes, different dithering modes, etc., allowing you to optimize the result of the imported image in real time.

More features and modes are planned for the future. :)
