These short stories are more down to earth than the later that delves more into the psyche. I selected these stories for this compilation: "The Skull", first published 1952, "The Hanging Stranger", published 1953 and "The Gun", published 1952. I find them a straight forward and easy read. Perfect to read when you don't have too much time to spare. The computer in the thumbnail is my trusted Commodore 128 and Commodore 1084 monitor. My preferred e-reader.
