Nice logo for a cover for a new album ;)
Like it. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 20 February 2024
Abused AKA field info moved to Trivia. Sorry, Raistlin. | User Comment Submitted by Hate Bush on 16 February 2024
(8 points logo + 10 points AKA field discovery) / 2 = 9 | User Comment Submitted by Mythus on 14 February 2024
Excellent example of less is more, nice one! :) | User Comment Submitted by goerp on 14 February 2024 User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 14 February 2024
Yeah, just in case, I should say that Airwolf's YouTube channel is great. It's recording from emulator IIRC .. but he does get recordings up ridiculously quick sometimes. And as Mibri said, it's the others with the weird palettes and odd sound setups on their recordings that are a bigger problem ;-) | User Comment Submitted by Jetboy on 14 February 2024
Logo is nice. But the AKA ROCKS! | User Comment Submitted by jab on 14 February 2024
I also want to give credit to Airwolf's channel for posting demos. It's often the easiest way to check quickly on the phone what the newest fuzz is about. A busy person like me isn't at the computer all the time, sometimes I'm on the sofa. | User Comment Submitted by CreaMD on 14 February 2024
Actually, I find it quite nice that someone is following the scene releases in realtime and publish even smaller ones on Youtube. | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 14 February 2024 User Comment Submitted by apprentix on 14 February 2024 User Comment Submitted by Mibri on 14 February 2024
Logo looks tidy!
On the AKA: agree that uploading videos of static images is a bit daft, though to be fair to Airwolf's YouTube channel, it doesn't look like it has been uploading very many captures of standalone Graphics releases recently, and while I would prefer to watch hardware captures rather than captures from VICE, at least he isn't running 8580-specific prods through 6581! Channels that do that can get in the bin. :) | User Comment Submitted by Raistlin on 14 February 2024
@Flotsam AFAIK, YouTube still stores keyframes (necessary for scrubbing and for data dropouts etc etc)... so a video of an image will still be quite a bit.
It wasn't a serious issue though regardless .. the number of people viewing my logo on YouTube is _probably_ going to be a small fraction of those watching Blippi. Probably about 1/3rd ;p | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 14 February 2024 User Comment Submitted by 4gentE on 14 February 2024
Yeah, it should even be encoded in high bitrate 8k HDR. Because reasons. | User Comment Submitted by Flotsam on 14 February 2024
A superstar coder like you must know that an encoded video of a still image doesn't really require that much resource processor, memory or networkwise. More than a png of course, but nothing compared to millions of peeps generating AI images for the giggles. Still, I too can't see the point of making videos of still images.
Cool AKA is cool. | User Comment Submitted by spider-j on 14 February 2024
I bet by the time you finished writing the AKA text it already went live on YT XD | User Comment Submitted by jab on 14 February 2024
10 points for a nice clean logo and inventive use of AKA line. I agree on the pointlessness of static images in Youtube. |
