”Merry Twistmas” by Pretzel Logic was first aired on the Mibri C64 Xmas Demoshow on Twitch, 22 December 2021, where he wittily presented the group as the ”Pretzelves”!

We loved and laughed about the name and shortly after, ND got the idea for a winter game and started to pixel the levelfs (!) together with Mikael. The project was paused due to other releases, only to be picked up seven weeks prior to Christmas 2024. Flotsam got into a festive mood and begun to compose the Pretzelves theme, Rico put on his flashing Christmas hat and started to code the whole game like crazy! Spiham turned ND’s wonderfully designed characters into the most living sprites while Mikael polished the icy arenas and also pixeled the title picture. ND the initiator wrapped up the Chrissy present with a wonky DirArt, fitting for the feeling we want to deliver.

We had a lot of fun creating the game - hope you are going to enjoy playing it! And watch out for that evil AI.
