No problem @apprentix.
I know $ notation caused problems with some shells but now
TSCrunch -x $1000 in.prg out.prg
TSCrunch -x 0x1000 in.prg out.prg
TSCrunch -x 4096 in.prg out.prg
should all work and do the same thing | User Comment Submitted by apprentix on 31 March 2025
Fantastic! Thank you for Linux support! | User Comment Submitted by tonysavon on 30 March 2025
TSCrunch is an optimal, byte-aligned LZ+RLE hybrid encoder, designed to maximise decoding speed on NMOS 6502 and related CPUs, while maintaining solid compression performance — at least for a byte-aligned cruncher.
Originally developed as the default asset cruncher for the game A Pig Quest, TSCrunch is optimised for in-memory level compression, but it can also generate SFX executables for offline PRG crunching.
New in version 1.3.1
-TSCrunch is now available on three platforms: Windows, Linux, and macOS.
-Vastly improved crunching speed, with a reduced memory footprint for both the executable and the Python version.
-Slightly improved compression for SFX files.
-Slightly smaller decrunchers when using the INPLACE option. |
